Urban Core Street Reconfiguration Study

The Urban Core Street Reconfiguration Study will evaluate the current street network in the urban core and identify changes that can be made including one-way to two-way conversions, road diets, bike lanes, etc. Additionally the study will develop a plan for implementation and cost estimate for any recommended changes.
This study will incorporate recommendations from previous efforts including the adopted Downtown Master Plan (2010), the 2020 Omaha Parking and Mobility Strategic Plan, 24th Street Corridor Study, 13th Street Walkability Study, Vision Zero Action Plan, and the Active Mobility Plan. The Study was initiated by the Mayor’s office and Planning Department.
